Mrs. Kyla's little engineers took some inspiration from trees today. 🌳 They used nature’s design secrets to create umbrellas that could stand up to the wind.☂️

Lights, camera, outdoors! Mrs. Mya’s class put on their first drama, “Possum’s Tail,” with a wonderful outdoor performance!🎬

Mrs. Tabatha's third graders had a blast exploring force in science today! 💪⚙️ They experimented with pushes and pulls to make objects move — discovering how motion works through hands-on learning. Way to go, young scientists! 🔬🧠

Mrs. Durbin's class earned another 20 chainlinks. 🎉 As a reward, they voted on having a “read-in.” Students were able to find a cozy corner and read with flashlights in the dark. Several students were able to earn AR points through this fun activity and engage in reading in a new way. 📚⭐️🔦

Mrs. Darbi’s third graders created vertical number lines. Each group was able to measure liquid volume to make a measuring bottle that contains 1 liter of water. Great job third graders! 👏🏻

3 more students in Mrs. Jennifer’s ELA classes made it to the 20 point club on AR! The bells are ringing for success!!!

📣CPE had a surprise visitor for 4th grade today! Mrs. Jennifer’s ELA classes participated in the Honor Flight letter writing program in September. Her students were randomly matched with a veteran flying to DC to visit the monuments dedicated to the veterans who bravely fought for our freedoms.
Mrs. Jennifer’s classes assigned veteran, Mr. Spaulding, sent thank you emails to the classes that wrote to him. He was so touched with their positive notes of love and appreciation. In fact, he was SO excited to receive the letters that he and his wife took a “slight” detour on their road trip from Wisconsin and came to CPE today!!!!
When he walked in the room, Mrs. Jennifer’s students were literally amazed to see him!!!
He was received with rounds of applause, huge smiles and more words of support and admiration! Mr. Spaulding was so touched with their words of love and gratitude that he got emotional numerous times. ❤️
It was a pleasure to meet Mr. Spaulding in person and to see the result of our written words of support!
