We were thrilled to welcome Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus to Cecil Picard Elementary! Their visit brought so many smiles, excitement, and holiday cheer to our students and staff. From spreading joy to sharing laughs and posing for pictures, it was truly a magical moment our Patriots won’t soon forget.

The AR-nival Store was open today! Students in Mrs. Jennifer’s ELA classes got to “spend” their hard earned AR points (aka money) on donated items! Students bought treats, toys, and more to celebrate their success in AR!
The top 3 students in each class were also recognized!

We were so excited to welcome the North Vermilion Middle School Band as they joined our fifth grade band for a special concert this morning. Our students loved the opportunity to perform alongside the middle school musicians, hear their talent, and see what lies ahead in their band journey. 🎶🎵🎶

Cecil Picard’s 4-H clubs had a baby alligator visitor this morning during their lesson by Agent Anna Barras! This year’s topic is Wetlands. Today students learned about the history of alligators in Louisiana, hunting, uses (food, clothing, jewelry), and the life cycle. They were able to feel and hold a baby alligator!🐊
The Cecil Picard 4-H Food Drive is off to a fantastic start! 🍀
Thank you to everyone who has already donated and helped make a difference. On Wednesday, students are encouraged to bring three canned items, and on Thursday we will be accepting any non-perishable food item. Let’s keep the kindness going!
